In this empowering retreat we ignite the creative flame within through aligning with the elemental forces of nature and partaking in creative expression activities. This retreat includes journeying to magical powerspots in south Iceland like the site of the great Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park.

 

We will be staying at Laugarvatn, at the Héraðsskólinn hostel, overlooking the beautiful Laugarvatn lake. It is a luscious area, with natural hot springs and green hills. We are close to many of Iceland’s most spectacular attractions. These locations are vibrant with the healing and powerful energies of Mother Earth Iceland. Working with these empowering forces will make us feel rejuvenated and energized, ready to be the creators of our own lives!

 

During the retreat we use different outlets of expression both indoors and out in the beautiful nature.  Our activities include Art Creation, Yoga Dance, Ceremonies, Yoga and Meditation. We are served high quality Icelandic vegetarian food during the retreat at Héraðsskólinn. The living wholesome food will help clear out toxins from daily stress and raise our energy levels. As much as possible locally grown produce and organic greens are used.

 

The retreat is facilitated by Mother Earth Retreat's founders Sólveig, Thórey and Sóley. For you to enjoy a deep nourishing and creative experience we offer our combined professional skills and training as Art Therapist and Shamaness, Yoga and Yoga Dance Instructor and Spiritual Entrepreneur and Visionary. ·         Day 1-2: Arrival in Iceland, overnight stay in Reykjavík, journey to Laugarvatn, welcome gathering at Héraðsskólinn

·         Day 3-7: Ignite Your Creative Flame Retreat at Laugarvatn: Every morning we offer yoga and meditation sessions to support

          the Creative Expression flow throughout the days. During your entire retreat you are free to enjoy 

          Laugarvatn Fontana ~ Geothermal Baths. We will also journey to a few of Iceland's most sacred and powerful places;                                 Gullfoss,Geysir and Thingvellir National Park.

·         Day 8-9: Laugarvatn to Reykjavík, Energy work at Thingvellir National Park, overnight stay in Reykjvaík, departure

          

 

 

Itinerary

 

DAY 1  SUNDAY AUGUST 3RD ~ ARRIVAL AT KEFLAVIK AIRPORT, BLUE LAGOON

Transfer to your accommodation in Reykjavik. On the way, it's time to soothe body, mind and spirit in the spectacular Blue Lagoon.

 

DAY 2  MONDAY AUGUST 4TH ~ WELCOME TO LAUGARVATN

Journey from Reykjavik to Laugarvatn

·         Welcome gathering

·         Opening ceremony in the evening-connecting to Mother Earth Iceland

 

DAY 3  TUESDAY AUGUST 5TH ~  IN THE WATER ELEMENT, CLEANSING & EMPOWERING, GULLFOSS AND GEYSIR

Energy and elemental work with different water energies - Shed old layers - Healing emotions - Be the power of the waterfall

·         Journey to the grand waterfall Gullfoss and to the site of the great Geysir where Strokkur still erupts every 4-8 minutes. 

          Here we experience and can draw upon the strength, force and power of the water element

·         Lunch at Hótel Geysir 

·         Optional: Soft water, swim in the geothermal swimming pool at Laugarvatn, or soak and soothe your body~mind in

          Laugarvatn Fontana ~ Geothermal Baths

·         Ceremony by the sacred lake of Laugarvatn

 

DAY 4  WEDNESDAY AUGUST 6TH ~ IN THE EARTH ELEMENT,  NATURE CONNECTION, FINDING ROOTS

Be in alignment with Mother Earth - Be grounded - Plant your dreams 

·         Nature walk and light hike (difficulty level: easy). Walking distance from Héraðsskólinn 

·         Meditation - connect to the mountain devas and other nature devas in the surrounding area 

·         Creativity workshop

 

DAY 5  THURSDAY AUGUST 7TH ~ OPEN DAY, TIME FOR INTEGRATION

Day of being - Stillness - Contemplation

·         Optional yoga and creativity sessions in the afternoon 

·         Enjoy the healing effects of the Geothermal Baths at Laugarvatn if one choses

 

DAY 6  FRIDAY AUGUST 8TH ~ IN THE FIRE ELEMENT, IGNITE YOUR CREATIVE FLAME

Self-empowerment - Courage - Strength 

·         Fire ceremony

·         Creativity workshop

·         Yoga Dance workshop 

 

DAY 7  SATURDAY AUGUST 9TH ~ IN THE AIR ELEMENT, INSPIRATION, NEW BEGINNINGS

Day of envisioning the new - manifesting dreams into reality 

·         Dream weaving workshop 

·         Closing ceremony 

 

DAY 8  SUNDAY AUGUST 10TH ~ LAUGARVATN TO THINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK, REYKJAVÍK

Journey and energy work at Thingvellir National Park 

·         We will connect to sacred sites at Thingvellir which hold special powers and frequency that fill us

          with light energy and solar powers

·         Overnight in Reykjavík
